For solo & small law firms

Every missed call
answered.
In English and Spanish.

For solo and small personal injury, family, criminal defense and employment firms. About 35% of calls to law firms go unanswered even during business hours (Law Leaders, 2025). When you can't pick up, Presently tells the caller it's your firm's AI intake assistant, runs the intake in their language, and calls them back within 60 seconds — before they call the next firm. Every firm is set up personally by the founder.

Why Presently

Built for the small firm
that can't answer every call.

Bilingual from the first word

Callers choose English or Spanish before the first question, and the whole intake runs in their language.

A callback in 60 seconds

About a minute after the intake ends, the caller gets an automated confirmation call — while they are still deciding who to hire.

Compliance built in

Every call identifies the AI, states that calling does not create an attorney-client relationship, gives the 911 instruction and discloses recording. It never gives legal advice.

Set up by the founder

No ticket queue. Your intake, lead delivery and call forwarding are set up with you on a 30-minute call and tested together before a real caller reaches them.

Try it for 30 days

For 30 days, Presently answers your missed and after-hours calls, runs intake in English and Spanish, and calls each lead back within 60 seconds. No setup fee. You keep every lead it captures. If it doesn't book you a single consultation, you owe nothing.

The Problem

Every missed call is a lead
you already paid for.

Most people who hire a lawyer contact more than one firm first — 78.9% of them (Martindale-Avvo, 2023). If nobody picks up, they move on to the next one. Legal leads cost $649 or more each (First Page Sage), so every unanswered call is money already spent. A full-time receptionist costs about $37,000 a year in salary alone (ZipRecruiter, June 2026) and is still off the clock at 5PM. Presently answers after-hours and overflow calls for $8,150 a year.

How It Works

48 hours from contract

01
We set up your line with you
On a 30-minute call we confirm your practice areas, where leads should go and your call forwarding — then test it together before a real caller reaches it.
02
Every missed call is answered
After hours, on weekends, while you are in court — Presently identifies itself as your firm’s AI intake assistant, runs the intake in English or Spanish, and calls the caller back within 60 seconds.
03
You call back a complete lead
Within about a minute of each call you get an email with the caller’s details, a summary and the full transcript. You make the callback that wins the case.

Architecture

Your leads never
depend on us.

The call your firm cannot afford to miss is the one that comes at 11PM on a Tuesday, when you are in trial and your paralegal is at lunch. Presently is built so that scenario has one outcome: the call is answered, the intake is complete, and the summary is in your inbox before you check it.

Your Data, Always

Layer 1

Every intake summary is delivered by email within 60 seconds of the call ending. It lives in your inbox — not in our portal, not behind a login. If you cancel, if we close, if anything changes: your intake records are already with you, in plain language, in a format that opens in any email client on earth.

No Queue, No Cap

Layer 2

Presently is built to take multiple calls at the same time, so callers are not put on hold or sent to a busy signal the way they would be with a single receptionist.

Portability by Design

Layer 3

Intake summaries are plain-language emails — not proprietary exports, not locked schemas. They paste into Clio, MyCase, a spreadsheet, a legal pad. Direct integrations are in development; the email-first design means you are never dependent on them.

Watched Around the Clock

Layer 4

The voice line is tested automatically every 15 minutes, and any failed call triggers an alert. A problem is caught in minutes by us — not discovered by one of your callers.

This is not a feature. It is the premise. A receptionist that fails silently is worse than no receptionist — the firm assumed coverage it did not have. That is why the line is watched around the clock.

30-Day Pilot

Recover the cases you're missing.

For 30 days, Presently answers your missed and after-hours calls, runs intake in English and Spanish, and calls each lead back within 60 seconds. No setup fee. You keep every lead it captures. If it doesn't book you a single consultation, you owe nothing.

FAQ

Everything you need to know.

What is an AI receptionist for a law firm?

An AI receptionist for a law firm answers the calls the firm can't, runs a structured intake conversation, and delivers the details to the attorney. Presently answers missed and after-hours calls in English and Spanish, emails the full intake within about a minute of the call ending, and calls the caller back within 60 seconds. It is built for solo and small law firms.

Can Presently answer calls in Spanish?

Yes. Callers choose English or Spanish at the start of the call, and the whole intake runs in their language.

Does it tell callers they are talking to an AI?

Yes. Every call opens by identifying the firm's AI intake assistant, stating that contacting the firm does not create an attorney-client relationship, telling callers to hang up and dial 911 in an emergency, and disclosing that the call is recorded and transcribed. If a caller asks whether they are talking to a person, it answers honestly.

How quickly does Presently go live?

Usually within 48 hours of your setup call. You get a dedicated Presently number, turn on call forwarding for missed and after-hours calls, and we test it together before a real caller reaches it.

What happens after a call ends?

Within about a minute you receive an email with the caller's name, phone, email, a summary, the urgency level and the complete transcript, and a text alert can also go to the attorney's phone. For injury matters the email also includes a rough automated case-value estimate, which is not a legal evaluation. The caller gets an automated confirmation call saying their information was received and that the firm has not yet agreed to represent them.

What practice areas does Presently handle?

Personal injury (including car accidents), family law, criminal defense, employment law and estate planning, each with its own intake questions. Other matters get a general intake, so no caller is turned away.

Does it integrate with Clio or MyCase?

Not directly yet. Every lead arrives by email within about a minute, with the caller details, summary and full transcript in plain text you can paste into Clio, MyCase or any other system. Direct integrations are in development; tell us which system you use.

How much does Presently cost?

Presently Core is $799 per month, or $8,150 per year plus a $499 setup fee. Premium is $1,199 per month, or $13,250 per year plus a $999 setup fee. There is also a 30-day pilot: For 30 days, Presently answers your missed and after-hours calls, runs intake in English and Spanish, and calls each lead back within 60 seconds. No setup fee. You keep every lead it captures. If it doesn't book you a single consultation, you owe nothing.

Is there a limit on calls or minutes?

Every plan includes up to 1,000 call minutes per month under fair use, which covers typical small-firm volume. If your firm consistently goes over, we will talk with you about the right plan. Presently never stops answering your calls because of usage, and there are no usage charges without your written agreement. The 30-day pilot covers up to 100 intake calls.

How is this different from an answering service?

An answering service takes a message. Presently runs a structured legal intake in English or Spanish and calls the caller back within 60 seconds, while they are still deciding who to hire, so the lead reaches you complete instead of as a callback slip.

How does call forwarding work?

You forward missed and after-hours calls from your existing line to your Presently number, using your phone system's or carrier's conditional call forwarding. There is no hardware or app, and you can turn it off at any time.

Do I replace my office number with Presently?

No. Keep your existing office number and forward only the calls you do not answer. Your existing clients still reach you directly. Presently is designed for new-client intake on unanswered calls, not for existing client matters.

Can Presently handle several calls at the same time?

Yes. Presently is built to answer multiple calls at once, so callers are not put on hold or sent to a busy signal the way they would be with a single receptionist.

What if a caller wants to speak to a real person?

Callers can ask for a callback at any time; the request is in the transcript and summary you receive, so you can call them back directly.

What about attorney-client privilege?

Lawyers owe duties to prospective clients (see ABA Model Rule 1.18), so Presently collects what intake requires, gives no legal advice, and delivers everything only to the firm whose line received the call. Whether a particular intake communication is privileged depends on your jurisdiction; confirm with your own ethics counsel.

Are calls recorded? Is that legal?

Yes, every call is recorded and transcribed, and callers are told so at the start of every call before the conversation begins. That disclosure is designed to meet recording-consent rules, including all-party consent states such as Connecticut and California; confirm the requirements for your state with your own counsel. Calls are processed by the telephony and AI providers that run the service, and transcripts are delivered only to the firm whose line received the call.

What happens if a caller mentions self-harm or an emergency?

Presently stops the intake and gives crisis resources: 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, and 911 for physical emergencies. The call is flagged as urgent so the attorney can call back right away. Presently is not a crisis service and does not replace emergency or mental health support.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Monthly plans can be cancelled before any billing date. Annual plans run for the year you have paid for: cancelling ends renewal, with no extra penalty, but the current year is not refunded.
