What Presently does
- Answers missed, overflow and after-hours calls, 24/7, on a dedicated Presently number the firm forwards unanswered calls to.
- Runs the full new-client intake in English or Spanish; the caller chooses the language at the start.
- Opens every call with the disclosures: AI intake assistant, no attorney-client relationship, recorded and transcribed, call 911 in an emergency.
- Emails the attorney, within about a minute, the caller’s name, phone, email, a summary, the urgency level and the complete transcript.
- Flags urgent matters, and gives 988 and 911 resources if a caller mentions self-harm or an emergency.
- Calls the caller back within 60 seconds with an automated confirmation call (from the firm’s Presently number) saying their information was received; it is not a person calling back.
- Answers several calls at the same time.
- Is set up personally for each firm; usually live within 48 hours of the setup call.
What it does not do (yet)
- Transfer calls live to a person (callback requests are flagged instead).
- Book appointments onto a calendar.
- Push leads into Clio, MyCase or another CRM (in development; leads arrive by email in plain text).
- Send text alerts (not yet).
- Give legal advice.
- Keep audio (it keeps written transcripts only).
